A system failed her. We’re building one that won’t.
The House of Nirvana (THON) is establishing a new standard of care through the THON 360 Care System™ — an integrated model that connects clinical care, holistic support, and intelligent coordination across every stage of a woman’s life.
From preconception through postpartum and beyond — designed to improve outcomes, close equity gaps, and ensure women are seen, supported, and never navigating care alone.
She Should Have Been Heard
Across the United States, maternal health outcomes reveal a system under strain — and for Black women, a crisis.
Women are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause through fragmented systems that often fail to communicate, coordinate, or respond to their lived experience.
This disconnect reflects a deeper issue:
The system is designed to respond to emergencies — but not to deliver continuous, coordinated, and experience-centered care.
The result:
- missed early risk signals
- delayed intervention
- preventable escalation
- women managing complex care alone
We cannot change outcomes without changing the system that produces them.
The THON 360 Care System™
THON is not a single service — it is a care system designed for how women actually move through care. The THON 360 Care System™ integrates three core layers.
THON does not replace the healthcare system — it strengthens and connects it.
Why This Matters Now
The maternal health crisis is not new — but the urgency has never been greater.
Black women are disproportionately impacted by maternal morbidity and mortality, often due to a combination of systemic gaps, delayed care, and the cumulative effects of chronic stress — known as weathering.
This is not a care access issue alone. It is a system design issue.
THON exists to change that.
Designed for Real Life. Built for Real Impact.
(preconception → beyond)
(clinical + holistic)
This is care that meets women where they are — and stays with them every step of the way.
The THON Flagship
The THON flagship site will serve as the first physical implementation of the THON 360 Care System™.
This is where:
- the model is operationalized
- care is delivered in a fully integrated environment
- outcomes are measured and validated
- partnerships come to life
The flagship is not just a facility — it is a proof point for a new standard of care.
Denise L. Cottman is the Founder of The House of Nirvana (THON), where she is building a new, integrated standard of care for maternal and reproductive health.
Through the THON 360 Care System™, Denise is developing a lifecycle-based model that connects clinical care, holistic support, and intelligent coordination — designed to improve outcomes, close persistent equity gaps, and transform how women experience care.
With a professional background in ITIL change management within cloud environments, Denise brings deep expertise in governance, systems design, and operational execution across complex, high-stakes environments.
Her experience at the intersection of technology, AI-adjacent innovation, and regulatory frameworks informs the development of the THON Care Intelligence Data Model — an approach that uses data and intelligent systems to identify risk earlier, coordinate care more effectively, and ensure no woman is left navigating care alone.
Denise founded THON after recognizing a critical gap: women are expected to navigate fragmented systems during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
THON is her answer — a system built for how care should work.
Building This Requires Partnership
THON is designed to work in collaboration with health systems, OB/GYN and midwifery groups, academic and research institutions, and community-based organizations. We are building a model that can scale — but it begins with the right partners.
